Welcome to DogStreak ("we", "us", "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your information when you use our mobile application DogStreak and related services.

By using DogStreak, you accept the practices described in this policy. If you do not accept this policy, please do not use our services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you register an account and use DogStreak, we may collect the following information:

  • Account Information: Email address, username and password (encrypted)
  • Profile Information: Name, profile picture and country
  • Dog Information: Name, breed, date of birth and pictures of your dogs
  • Training and Competition Data: Results, statistics, exercises and achievements
  • Club Affiliation: Information about which dog club you belong to
  • Uploaded Images: Result protocols and course maps
  • AI chat messages: Interactions with Hundcoachen (see section 11 for details)
  • Location data: Precise location (GPS) when you use the tracking tool (see section 12 for details)

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the app, we automatically collect certain technical information:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system and version
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features you use
  • Error Reports: Crash logs and performance data to improve the app

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain and improve our services
  • Manage your account and provide customer service

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, user safety or public interest.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of passwords

Note that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable methods to protect your information.

7. Data Retention

We store your personal data as long as you have an active account with us. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except for information we are required to retain by law.

8. Children's Privacy

DogStreak is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you discover that a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

9. Cookies and Tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy in the app and/or via email. Your continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. AI Assistant (Hundcoachen)

The App includes an AI-powered chat assistant called "Hundcoachen". This section describes how your data is processed when you use this feature.

11.1 Information Processed

When you use Hundcoachen, we process:

  • The text of the messages you send
  • The responses generated by the AI model
  • Metadata such as timestamps, conversation IDs and the link to your account
  • Any reports you submit about inappropriate responses

11.2 Sharing with the AI Provider

To generate responses, your messages are transmitted to OpenAI, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. Under OpenAI's API terms, your messages and the responses are not used to train OpenAI's models. Processing may take place outside the EU/EEA, in which case appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with the GDPR. Do not send personal data or sensitive information that you do not wish to share.

11.3 Access to Your Conversations

Your conversations are private. Other users cannot see them. In exceptional cases, our staff may access them, for example to review reported content, investigate suspected misuse or troubleshoot technical issues.

11.4 Storage and Deletion

Conversations are stored for as long as you have an active account and are deleted when you delete your account, in accordance with our general retention policy. Reported conversations may be retained for a limited time for safety and moderation purposes.

12. Location Data

The App includes an optional tracking tool that lets dog trainers lay tracks and follow them together with their dog. When — and only when — you actively use this tool, the App collects your device's precise location (GPS) to record the track you lay and to show your position while you follow a track. We do not collect your location in the background.

Your location data is used solely to provide the tracking tool. We do not use it for advertising and do not sell it or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

Tracks and associated location data are linked to your account and stored according to our general retention policy (see section 7). You can stop location collection at any time by closing the tracking tool or by disabling the location permission in your device settings.
